I haven't posted a blog post in the longest time; I am so sorry! I have been incredibly busy with freshman year. I'm growing up and I didn't realize it was so difficult to manage schoolwork, friends, piano, church, and family. It is very overwhelming and I end up sleeping at random times and being exhausted and over worked. However, for this one case, I'm posting a blog. :) My mom turned 40 today, on October 9, and it is such an important event! I am so thankful and blessed to have her in all 13 years of my life. She means so much to me and raised me to be the young woman I am today. On this special day, our family decided to each give her a present. To start off, I bought her a beautiful Chanel lipstick. She has been wanting it for the longest time, especially after she saw the advertisement. :) My brother bought her a beautiful ice cream cake, with "Happy Birthday Mom!" written in pretty pink frosting. She really enjoyed it and it was definitely a unique cake. And last but not least, my dad bought her a ring!! After losing hers in the snow several years ago, my mom has been without a ring. My dad thought it was the perfect time to replace it and she found a beautiful one from Swarovski. Swarovski is a popular jewelry brand made of individually crafted crystals. My mom fell in love with the ring the minute she saw it, and now she finally has her replacement for her old ring. :) Our family has never done this before and I'm glad my mom enjoys the presents. She deserves it! I hope you have the best birthday ever, I love you.
