End of Semester/Career Day.
Today was the end of the semester, which means school is officially half way over! Every year our school celebrates by having Career Day. This is a day when adults with all different types of professions (medical field, advertising, teaching, sales, etc.) come to our school to talk to us about their jobs. A week before Career Day, every student gets to choose 4 different jobs they would like to hear about. Of course, space is always limited so I did not get to see every topic I wanted. For example, the Arcadia SWAT Team got 600 people to sign up, but only 90 people were picked! On my schedule, I recieved Registered Nurse, Cardiac Nurse, and Lake Lifeguard. :) I thought the nursing was very interesting and looked flexible and exciting. My favorite was the Cardiac Nurse presentation. She explained what she does and other details like pay, hours, and patients. Career Day was very fun and I'm becoming more into the medical field. :D
