Recently my mom and dad have come down with a cough. It is nothing serious but it isn't going away. They decided to buy Chinese medicine at T.S. Emporium, a store that specializes in Chinese herbs. My mom bought African "Sea Coconut" Brand Traditional Herbal Medicine Original Cough Mixture, which she said she used even as a child! She also bought Nin Jiom Herbal Candy Super Mint and almond-like herbs called Sterculia Lychnophora which can be found in Vietnam, Malaysia, and India. When submerged in hot water, it expands and gives the water slight tea flavor. This drink has medicinal properties to help with coughing and sore throat. Hopefully this will help cure the cough, it has been quite stubborn! :)
