Advanced Placement (AP) Courses

What are AP courses? The AP program consists of curriculum that offers standardized courses to high school students that are generally recognized to be equivalent to undergraduate courses in college. This year, I am taking two AP courses; AP Chemistry and AP European History. AP classes are much more rigorous and challenging than typical high school classes, and not everyone can take them. At the end of the year, they require end-of-the-year AP tests that can potentially give college credits. They are scored from 1-5, with 3 and above as the passing score. If a student does well on these tests, they are eligible for college credits and can shorten their time in college. I hope to take as many AP classes as I can so I can graduate college in 3 years and save a lot of money in the future. :-)
