Happy Thanksgiving!

It is Thanksgiving once again, and I have so many things to be thankful for this year. Over the past year, I had a lot of opportunities, for example my summer vacations to China and Cambodia. Those experiences allowed me to see another side of the world and realize how blessed I am in America. When I came home from those trips, I felt a sense of gratitude not only towards my material possessions but also my loving family. I know that I am lucky to have a Christian upbringing that supports me and helps me with everything. I do not have to do anything on my own and it is evident in my everyday life. I'm thankful for:
My family
My friends
My church
My home
My school
Health
Food
Happiness

As 2011 comes to an end, I cherish every moment of it and hope that there will be many more years like this to come! I wish all of you a happy time together with your families and remember to always love them with all your heart.

I also went Black Friday Shopping for the first time. Black Friday is a crazy shopping day in all of the United States the day after Thanksgiving. Stores open as early as 12 am or 4 am, and shoppers rush to the mall for good sales. There are also amazing sales on electronics, and people line up days in advance to save hundreds of dollars on cameras, TVs, computers, and more. We heard about a great deal on the Canon Powershot ELPH 310 HS from Costco, on sale on Black Friday for only $199! That is a wonderful price for a camera that is a much better upgrade from our old Nikon. I tried it out for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised at its picture quality. I can't wait to start using it to record our family adventures. Look for more pictures to come soon! :)
