Towards the end of the school year, I tried out for Chamber Orchestra and made it! After Grandpa found out the news, he was so excited he decided to buy me a new violin. :) It was the perfect time to upgrade my violin and hand down my older one to Joseph. After researching it online, we picked the highest model from the brand Mendini. It is the same brand as I have now, just an upgraded model. We recently recieved it in the mail and it looks great! I was afraid that the color would be too dark but I actually enjoy the shiny color and flamed back. I also like the well constructed case and bows. To improve the quality of the sound, we bought higher quality strings for the violin and had it re-strung. I can tell a huge difference - the new strings are smoother and create a more beautiful sound than I could have imagined! It is a deep, lush sound versus the high pitch sound that my old violin had. Thank you Grandpa for buying this for me! I am so happy with it and I can't wait to play it during the school year.
