Today was Independence Day, or 4th of July! This holiday celebrates America's independence from the British. Every year my family and I celebrate with our church friends. This year we went to Crosswords Park and barbequed. My dad played volleyball with other friends and had a lot of fun. When he was younger, he used to play on a team and won 2nd place in a city championship in Malaysia. My brother was really sick and couldn't do much. My friends and I also walked their dog Brooklyn and played with the park equipment. I had a lot of fun, and I didn't want to go home. :)
