Day 1 Vacation - Sedona, Arizona.

Today we drove at least seven hours to Sedona, Arizona. During the car ride, the temperature went from 110 degrees Fahrenheit in the desert to 61 degrees Fahrenheit when it rained. It was an incredible difference - at least 40 degrees! After driving for many hours, we stopped at Slide Rock. Here, you can swim and slide along the rocks. It was very dangerous because the rocks were extremely slippery. Many of us fell and lost balance. However, it was well worth it when the water pushed us along like a mini-waterslide. The water was freezing and we got tired quickly. We went to eat at Sally's Mesquite Grill. We ordered two plates that came with smoked barbeque ribs with two side orders. It was delicious but very messy. :) Everyone was very tired after the long day and we retreated to our hotel rooms. Before tucking into bed, we swam at the hotel pool. It was very dark and cold but we had a fun time swimming. After swimming for a short time, I went back to the hotel, sore and exhausted. Today was a really exciting day, and I'm even more anxious to see the Grand Canyon tomorrow!
