A Poem to Joseph

In English I have a poetry project where I have to write 12 different types of poems. One of my poems was written to my brother, Joseph. My mom was touched after reading the poem and wanted to save it to my blog for memory.

Fighting, tears, pain, resentment

Some of the many things we've gone through

As brother and sister

But then there are the good memories

Smiles, laughter over everything and anything

Caring for each other

At the worst of times

Those are the good memories

At first you seemed like a stubborn fly

That I could never get rid of

Something that would only live with me for most of my life

But then I began to see

Your playful energy around me

Like cheerful darting bees

Your way of caring

When I'm down

Zoom! As the ball whooshes past my shoulder

And you are patient

Even when you know

I'm terrible

You're the best brother in the world

Even if you don't' know it

Deep down

I love you
