Today was a gloomy, cold day. It rained continously, from small sprinkles to heavy pouring. My brother had a soccer tournament planned, and were told it wasn't canceled. After driving an hour to Anaheim, they found out it was canceled, and will be postponed to next week. Then my dad took me to piano class. While I was at piano, my mom went to shop for cookie supplies, when she found crabs at a great deal! Around $2.99 per pound, instead of the usual $3.99 - $5.99, she grabbed the opportunity and bought four large, meaty crabs. :) They were still alive when she took them home and she killed them, washed them, and cooked them. Joseph was very interested in the crabs and wanted to watch my mom work. She also cooked a warm soup with carrot, vegetable, tofu, and meat. My dad cracked open the crab shells for me and it was cool to eat a food we don't eat often. Tomorrow we will have the task of making 6 dozen cookies, and I can't wait! :D
