Today I went to the MathCounts Competition in Cal Poly Pomona. There were around 20 schools competing, including schools from Walnut and Arcadia. The math problems were very dificult and I had a hard time completing them. However, it was a good experience and I was exposed to many talented, smart kids. I did not make it to the top twelve but it was still a good chance to see what's out there. The top twelve were all asian, and 11 of them where boys! That proves boys are still better than girls overall in math. As a school we won 6th place as a team and I was very proud of us. I say 6 out of 20 is a good achievement. :) I'm glad I attended MathCounts and it was fun to do it with my friends.
