High Cholesterol!!!

Last week my parents went to have their annual health checkup. The results came up - my mom was fine, but my dad has high cholesterol levels. Last year, my dad's cholesterol levels were already slightly above normal, and this year it is worse. The doctor told my dad to exercise and eat well, otherwise the levels will be out of control and he may have to take medications. My dad has convinced his coworker, Chris, to join a fitness program at his work with him. He will work out on machines everyday during his lunch break. :) Hopefully he will not give up and this will benefit him and his health. My mom is also trying to help my dad eat healthier by cooking lots of green vegetables. The doctor said to no longer eat fried food, fat food, seafoods and fat meats. Instead try to eat fruits and vegetables. Therefore, my mom cooked all vegetables, no meat! She used plenty of garlic, mushroom, sliced fish cake, and a little bit of shrimp to make the veggie dishes. Dad will probably go crazy without meat but he needs to learn to have better eating habits. :) Even with plenty of exercise, a good diet is key to having a healthy life.
