Today our Glendora High School Orchestra visited three elementary schools: Stanton, La Fetra, and Cullen. We performed a variety of fun songs for them including James Bond, Colorado Trail, Aladdin, Hopak, and my favorite - Wizard of Oz! Along with the plays, we performed small skits. I volunteered to act in the Wizard of Oz play, and I dressed up as a tin man. My other friends dressed up as Toto the dog, the lion, Dorothy, and the scarecrow. It was a lot of fun to perform for the kids and dress up. I hope I can do this every year and promote orchestras to youth. posted by Jocelyn
