Cambodia and Taiwan Trip - July 2011

2011 will be a busy year for Zia Yee because she will be traveling to China, Cambodia and Taiwan in summer. The trip to China will be our family vacation. We will spend two weeks in China with the grandparents – a 3 generation gathering!!! It is our first visit to China and we are looking forward to this vacation. This is a blessed year for Zia Yee because she also has an opportunity to join the church’s youth group for a missionary trip to Cambodia. The youth group will visit Pastor Randy who is a minister for the orphan in Cambodia. It is a great opportunity for Zia Yee to learn how to serve others who are needed. Furthermore, she needs to be independent and able to take care of herself without her parents. Most importantly, she will see and experience life in a poor country like Cambodia and know how to appreciate what she has in the US. This is a wealthy country and we have various resources available. More often, our kids receive more than what is needed and don’t realize how much resources they waste every day. We hope she comes back with more loving of heart, considerable and thoughtful. Even though we have to spend $2K on this trip, it is worth it if it can change her mind set. Thank you George and Sandra, who are in charge of this trip and will take the group to Taiwan for a two day visit. For sure, it will be one of the most memorable trips for these kids!
