On Day 5 of vacation, we visited the Rocky Mountains. To travel up the mountain, we had to drive up narrow pathways. It was very scary because the mountains were over 12,000 feet high! The weather was very cold and windy and everyone wanted to stay inside the car. :) Along the way, we saw many herds of elk and sheep. Suprisingly, we saw snow on the mountain even though it is August! Our lodge had two rooms, a kitchen, and a living room. By the lodge, there is a river and we went fishing, but unfortunately didn't catch anything. :( Later on, we walked around the town called Estes Park. It was very busy and small shops were filled with people. I enjoyed looking around and walking into unique stores. Estes Park was very different from home but I still enjoyed it. The countryside is so beautiful and it is a very peaceful place.
