Daylight Savings Time.

On March 8th, the United States had a Daylight Savings Time change, so we had to turn our clockes one hour ahead. I am still trying to get used to the changes. :) Suprisingly, I had no idea what Daylight Savings Time was for, but now I know it is for saving energy. Because the sun sets later on, (at around 7 p.m.) people can save electricity because they have no use for lights. What is very interesting is that on Monday August 8, 2005 President Bush signed into law a broad energy bill that extended Daylight Saving Time by four weeks beginning in 2007. Since 1986 the United States had observed Daylight Saving Time from the first Sunday in April through the last Sunday in October. But now it starts on the second sunday of March and ends on the first Sunday in November.
