Vikings Day happens every month where children are awarded. California schools have a different grading system than Malaysia. Instead of ranking people from highest to lowest, we can earn grades: A, B, C, D, or F. If you get a 90% or higher, it is considered an A. If you get a 80% or higher, it is a B. If you get a 70% or higher, it is a C. If you get a 60% or higher, it is a D. Finally, everything lower than 60% is considered an F, or failing. For example, if you earn a 8/10 on an assignment, it is an 80% or a B. Every month Sellers teachers pick students that they believe deserve an award. Instead of picking only the top students, they pick kids that have had improvement or are succeeding in a certain subject. That way, everyone gets encouragement from these awards. Almost everyone gets at least one award sometime during the year. Today, Joseph received a math award for great achievements in math. I congratulate him for his hard work and I hope he continues to thrive in what he does.
Joseph, Great!
