Yesterday, while my brother was at his tutor, my parents and I took a quick trip to a local outdoor mall. It was starting to heat up into the 80's. (Fahrenheit.) We visited a couple of stores and I got 3 shirts. Then we went to Häagen-Dazs® for a cooling dessert - ice cream in waffle cones. I got Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream and my parents tried a new flavor, Peppermint Bark. They were both very delicious and great for the hot weather. As we drove back to pick up Joseph, we made sure to eat all the ice-cream before Joseph found out. :)Today Joseph and I went with our friends Jessica, Rebecca, Lucy, and Mimi to the movie theater. It was even hotter than yesterday, even though I was wearing shorts! To escape the sudden heat, we watched Hotel For Dogs. It is a movie about two kids who take in stray dogs. It was funny and sad, and I really enjoyed the movie. The buttery popcorn and large sodas were great too, because I don't eat popcorn often. You can check out the trailer for the movie below:
